Leadership Profile
My Career Goals:
My career/ future in Parks and Recreation Management is so exciting and nervous all at the same time. I am looking forward to spending my career promoting leisure and recreation by living out West managing a hotel/ Resort. I feel that having these jobs are so important because we need to make sure that leisure is important in ones life. Can't wait until one day I can live out my dreams!

3 STRONGEST CHARACTERISTICS:
Three of my strongest characteristics would be that I am a very good listener, which helps when it comes to being a leader so that everyone is heard and that everyone can express themselves. Another characteristic would be that I am ethical. I do things by the "book". There is a right and a wrong. I like to do things the right way. One more characteristic would be my attitude. I am a very happy energetic person.

I as well feel another strong characteristic would be that I am the type of person who gets emotionally invested in everything I do becasue I overly care about everything and that could be a good or bad thing. In most cases it is a good thing because that means that I really care about it.
My Definition of an Effective Leader:
I believe that an effective leader has really good communication skills as well as works well with others and in groups. I feel that it is most important like we talked about in KNR 171 is that to be an effective leader you must be able to reflect on yourself as a leader and take criticism as well as be able to take brags about yourself so that you are able to keep or change the way you are as a leader. This way when you take those criticism or those brags that you are able to build off of it.
My Experience as a leader:
My experience so far as a leader is that throughout my whole life know what the situation is I have always been in I have always been the one to stand up and be the leader in my group, sporting activity, etc. I was an athlete growing up. I played travel softball as well as varsity softball all four years throughout high school. When I was in high school I as well was a manager at a Pizza Hut and that job really helped me build up my leadership skills as a leader. I know that a downfall of me being a leader is that I hold my own self to a high standard and when something goes wrong I automatically blame myself for whatever it was that happened. Through my experience as a leader through facilitation in KNR 171 I have learned that working through problems as a whole is so very important. I learned how important it was to thrive as a leader.
My Leadership Style:
I feel that most of the time I have the "Autocratic" leadership style because that is what my life and past has centered around. Being a manager over a Pizza Hut I was the "boss" and I was the one who everyone turned to when things went wrong or when they need the answer for something. That is why my leadership skill is more directed towards this leadership style. But I also feel like I could fall under democratic leadership because I care about what others have to say and that there import is very important as well.
